My approach to therapy focuses on emotion regulation as the foundation for meaningful change. Many of the challenges people come in with, whether anxiety, ADHD, relationship stress, major life transitions, or health anxiety, are connected to difficulty managing emotions in the moment.

Health anxiety can be especially overwhelming because it often creates a cycle of fear, reassurance-seeking, body checking, and constant "what if" thinking. Even when medical evaluations provide reassurance, the anxiety can quickly return, leaving you feeling trapped, exhausted, and unable to fully enjoy your life. Together, we will work to break that cycle by helping you better understand your nervous system, tolerate uncertainty, and respond to anxious thoughts with greater confidence rather than fear.

Whether you are experiencing panic, chronic worry, intrusive thoughts, or anxiety related to your health, our work will focus on building practical skills that help you feel calmer, more present, and more in control. Therapy is not about eliminating every anxious thought—it's about changing your relationship with those thoughts so they no longer dictate your life. As your emotional resilience grows, you will find yourself better able to navigate life's challenges with confidence, flexibility, and a renewed sense of peace.

Treatment Approaches

CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)

CBT helps identify the link between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. In sessions, we work on recognizing unhelpful thinking patterns and developing more balanced, effective ways of responding.

DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy)

DBT focuses on emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and communication. I help clients build practical tools to manage intense emotions and respond more effectively in relationships and stressful situations.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

EMDR supports the processing of distressing or traumatic experiences. It helps reduce emotional intensity tied to past experiences and supports the brain in reprocessing them in a more adaptive way.

Motivational Interviewing (MI)

Motivational Interviewing is a collaborative approach that helps you explore ambivalence, clarify goals, and strengthen your own motivation for change.  I guide conversations that help you identify what matters most to you and what might be getting in the way.
